Preferred candidate by Industry. The final question in the survey asked what sector people worked in. Edu is those employed at Colleges/universities and includes students as well. To read the results listed in the table below, 7.1% of those survey that are self-employed favor the Libertarian candidate, whereas 50% of the self-employed pollsters favored Mr. Gore. This contrasts with 32.4% of the public sector employees surveyed who favor the republicans.
