We being Digitizing Service provider for mineral exploration companies,have seen decline in biz due to digital mapping, as you said, i also agree with that; you can not do everything digitally, the major draw backs would be reference, hand drawn maps would serve as reference for years; whereas digital map might go absolete over a period of time.
