Hi Kushy,
Maybe you could convert the grid to a shape file, you will have to bring the slope grid into a view, and then with the surface analysis extension on, go to Analysis... Reclassify... this will make a new grid with one value for each class. Then you can go to Theme... Convert to Shapefile... it should make a polygon for each class and then you should be able to get the area of the polygon. You could load the script calcapl.ave which would add the area and perimeter for each polygon, then you could have the polygon table open and under Field... Summerize... and get the total area for each polygon.
This may not be the most accurate way, and I am sure that there must be ways to accomplish this in 3D view or in Spatial Analyst. But this is just a simple suggestion.
