Thanks to Heather Gordon and the reference to the
http://www.ncgia.ucsb.edu/sb/mad/mad.html
This was exactly what I needed I have not opened the data I downloaded from
the
http://www.nps.gov/gis/national_data.htm
However I think this is going to be very useful as well.
I hope someone steps up to manage the MAD updating as it is extremely
useful! With all this talk about outsourcing is there a similar vein on
maintaining sites such as MAD (i.e.. outsourcing the activity for a small
fee ?)..
