I wouldn't be at all surprise, nor should anyone really, about differential licensing. While I don't think ESRI would sell one license of the same product to you and I, at different rates, they probably would sell it at a different rate per license to you if you were buying, say 1000 licenses, and I was only buying 10. And of course, ESRI would not want you blabbing about what a deal you got to anyone. If I have misread your statement, then I am sure it will be set straight, but otherwise, this is nothing new I'm afraid.

There is a rumor floating around that for ArcView 8.1 single-user to concurrent user(s) pricing may not be consistent - pricing is different depending on who you may be or represent? Further there is an apparent "big hammer" treatening that there can be no price comparison or research due to license agreement for ArcView 8.1? Anyone else getting these Redland vibes?
