Subject: RE: GISList: ArcView 8.1 Pricing
Date:  08/12/2001 11:57:02 AM
From:  Anthony Quartararo

Neil,

I wouldn't be at all surprise, nor should anyone really, about differential
licensing. While I don't think ESRI would sell one license of the same
product to you and I, at different rates, they probably would sell it at a
different rate per license to you if you were buying, say 1000 licenses, and
I was only buying 10. And of course, ESRI would not want you blabbing about
what a deal you got to anyone. If I have misread your statement, then I am
sure it will be set straight, but otherwise, this is nothing new I'm afraid.

Anthony

Subject: GISList: ArcView 8.1 Pricing

There is a rumor floating around that for ArcView 8.1 single-user to
concurrent user(s) pricing may not be consistent - pricing is different
depending on who you may be or represent? Further there is an apparent "big
hammer" treatening that there can be no price comparison or research due to
license agreement for ArcView 8.1? Anyone else getting these Redland vibes?
