Subject: Re: GISList: How to make a theme...

As long as you are using grids in SA, you can use the cell statistics
command. In the help index type in grid. Choose "grid themes,
analyzing". Then select "Calculating cell statistices across multiple
grid themes". Here is what it says.

1 Activate multiple grid themes on which to calculate statistics.
2 From the Analysis menu, choose Cell Statistics.
3 From the dropdown list, choose the statistic to apply. Press OK.

For each cell location in the analysis extent, a statistic is calculated
based on the values for the locations between the input grid themes. The
statistics available are Majority, Maximum, Mean, Median, Minimum,
Minority, Range, Standard Deviation, Sum, and # of Unique Values.
The output grid theme from Cell Statistics is automatically named for
the statistics used to create it. The grid data set associated with the
output theme is written to the project's working directory, with the
name being the abbreviation of the statistic that created it followed by
a unique number. Use Properties in the Theme menu to find out which data
set is associated with which theme. Use Properties in the Project menu
to change the project's working directory. The grid data set associated
with the output theme is temporary and will be deleted when the theme is
deleted. Use Save Data Set in the Theme menu or save the project to
prevent the grid data set from being deleted when the theme is deleted.

BTW, I never use "Save Data Set". "Convert to Grid" is usually much faster.

Good Luck,
dt
