Does anyone know what the origins are of the magic figure of 85% accuracy, as stated in Anderson et al (1976, ref below):=20 "The minimum level of interpretation accuracy in the identification of land use and land cover categories from remotely sensed data should be at least 85%"
It cannot have been plucked out of the air!
