Subject: Re: GISList: Batch subtraction
Date:  08/30/2001 02:46:12 AM
From:  Tadi Seetharamayya

Hi Jason,

If you have got a solution for this in ARCVIEW then
you can IGNORE my below method.

If you have MapInfo version greater than 4.5. Then,

1. Import the Shape file into Mapinfo through the
Universal Translator.
2. Once you have the file in as Mapinfo Tab. Make it
editable
3. Then select the lager polygon and then goto "Object
--> Set Target", then again select all the polygons
except the larg polygon by "Query --> select all from
that file"
4. Unselect the larger Polygon by holding control.
5. Then goto Objects and choose "Erase"

This will give you the reminder of all the polygons.

Now again export this as shp file through the
Universal Trasulator.

Hope this is what you required.

Cheers

Best Regards,
Seetharamayya. Tadi
