Hello,
I have an American/English map of Arnhem/Holland area from 1944.
Coordinates on this map are represented by a letter (for this map it is an
E) and a 6 digit number (3 for North/3 for South).
It looks like the UTM and MGRS grid systems.
Fort example the Coordinate:
E/768725 (Sheet/Grid Letter E is map "6NW Arnhem") and referenses the
location Huissen (south of arnhem).
That is 768 North and 725 South
The UTM coordinated of Huissen is:
31 U 701652 5757689
The MGRS coordinated of Huissen is:
31 U GT 01653 57689
I try to find out what coordinite system this is. Do you have any idea?
