large scale or small scale? Arkansas River size or Mississippi size
watersheds? DEM'S can be useful for modeling, but I'm sure there are
numerous other sources of data that can be applied. If its historical data
you're thinking of check the Palmer drought index. The NOAA site may provide
info or links to help you:)
