Bina,
Take a look at http://www.geosearch.com. We have the most up-to-date job
listings in the industry. The positions change almost daily, so take a
look at it every so often and you will see the different types of career
paths that you can take.
There are many companyies whoi need GIS people with a Civil Engineering
background as well. You will have a great mix of skills that will allow
you to have a very fruitful career.
