I have got a rather "interesting" problem. I am using ArcGIS 8.1. In ArcMap I have a map document with the data frame being projected at NC State Plane 1927 and all the layer are at the same projection. Everything works fine until I add the Mr. Sids image of the County. It shows up over 5 miles to the south west of the County. I have checked the projection of the image and I have set it to the projected coordinate system of NC State Plane 1927 and have set it to the geographic coordinate system of North America State Plane 1927 and neither one seems to make that much of a difference.
I looked at the coordinate systems info for the Mr. Sids image and noticed that the central meridian, standard parallel 1 and 2, and the latitude of origin was different from all of my other layers. I changed these items to match the other layers and it did help a little but the image is still not laying over the County. The only other thing we can think of is that the extent of the Mr. Sids image is off. We have looked at the other layers extent and have noticed that the Mr. Sids image extent coordinates are off. Is there a way to correct this problem? We are all stumped on this one.
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
