Some time ago (2 years) my company switched from using MapXtreme to ArcIMS (SDE). They claimed that they ran into some serious performance issue using MapInfo's web based product and thus made the switch to ESRI. The people involved in that particular project had always traditionally used ESRI's ArcInfo and possibly may have been biased and/or preferred working with what they knew well. These people have now left and I need to provide more reasons as to why other parts of the company using GIS should switch to using ArcIMS and SDE. Am I really going to have better scalability using ESRI products? Can anyone give me some insight re their own experience? I'd appreciate your two cents.
