Hello all,
I am having problems labeling contour lines in ARCMAP 8.1. The problem is
when I label the line with a small text symbol (Arial 5 pt) the line shows
through the label and makes it look awful. I have tryed using a halo but
the halo shows up on layers that are below the contour lines layer which is
not desirable. What would be ideal is to have an invisible halo that chops
out the contour line at a specific distance around the text and only
effects the contour lines layer. Is there any way of doing this with out
having to individually cut the contour lines around each contour label.
Any help is much appreciated,
