Well you leave the office for one day, and you have a lot to catch up on!
The products that were mentioned all seem appropriate for different applications. John Kohles mentioned something about an 800 Megahertz handheld??!!! The iPAQ refresh rate zoomed into one street width is 18 seconds + or - 3 seconds. We've had two people in the field walking from light pole to light pole marking the locations which were then spatially joined to existing spatially imprecise data. The time to walk from one pole to the next is about 20 seconds so if they panned the image and let it refresh as they walk then our refresh rate is acceptable but not optimal.
