Maybe I need to clarify a few points:
1) I am interested in only bringing in point data (lines and polygons are beyond our scope and very difficult to produce), each line (separated by CR/LF) is one point,
ID, ATTRIBUTE, LAT, LONG 1,"ABCD",39.7486850,-84.1938115 2,"M3NB",39.7595456,-84.1918403 3,"3MWB",39.7595758,-84.1917207 4,"M3SB",39.7595176,-84.1919451 5,"3MEA",39.7594617,-84.1918193 ...
2) The order / structure of the fields can be changed as they are queried from a database, 3) The client does not have MapInfo, 4) The program we wish to view this data into reads only Mid/Mif files 5) I am looking for a "program" that would also "ask" for a desired project to place in the MIF header file
Again, thanks for any input!!

Does anyone know of a (shareware) program that will allow me to convert a comma-delimited ASCII text file to a MidMif formatted file. I am just concerned with converting point features (a single lat/long) with only one attribute value at this moment.
I have a client that would like to convert this data but does not want to shell out the $ and resources to buy MI.
I wouldn't think it'd be that hard to create as they are generally the same, but look at me, I'm pounding my keyboard writing this letter instead :)
Thanks for the suggestions,
