Yesterday I heard about a COM ad-in for MapPoint that enables importing of
SHP and MIF data... pretty cool and its a free download from the MS download
center.
I posted details of this at

If anyone has used this or has some more details regarding success using the
utility I'd like to hear about it.
I did notice some problems importing large point data coverages and one has
to recreate topology and attribute hook-up, however, its definitely a step
in the right direction.
