Subject: GISList: dgn to arc
Date:  11/01/2001 11:21:23 AM
From:  Kenea, Nasir

Hi everyone,

I would like to share the following problem. I have a parcel dgn file that
is connected to MS Access database through ODBC in order to populate PIN
numbers from the dgn in to the Access database. The new PIN numbers, that
are on a separate level, are visible when viewed in Microstation and the
number of records (PINs) also increases every time new ones are added to the
dgn. When the same dgn file is converted to Arc using IGDSARC the PINs do
not come across in the stddb table. Diagnosis of the dgn file in Arc using
IGDSINFO it appears that the new PINs (records) are not recognized to exist
in the dgn file, and of course the coverage created also wouldn't contain
the PINs. In short, the PINs appear to exist as seen in Microstation but
diagnosis of the same file in Arc doesn't recognize them. What can I do to
have the PINs be recognized in Arc and thus get a coverage with all new
PINs?

Thanks for any help.

Nasir
