Subject: GISList: Lizardtech MrSID
Date:  11/05/2001 12:23:35 PM
From:  Travis G. Smith

Hi Listers,

We have the need to scan and export photomaps to the Lizardtech MrSID
format. The source photomaps are 24 x 24 inch and must be scanned in
their entirety in one pass. The scanned image must be at 24 Bit True
Color, 300 dpi minimum resolution. Each scan must be compressed at 20:1
minimum compression.

Would anyone having information on this capability and/or the following
questions, please contact me?

1. What options are available such as COTS SW to read/write/export MrSID
files to these specifications?

2. Are there any vendors that can provide this service on a task order
basis?

Thank you!
