There is an Australian standard for land use codes - its designation eludes
me, and it may have been superseded in the ~10 years since I last looked at
it. Try looking at the ANZLIC website:
http://www.anzlic.org.au/
(To be honest, I can't remember if it specified colours or if we just made
them up.)

Does anyone know if there is a standard legend for displaying Land Use
in Arcview ?? Something that tells me residential should be this color
commercail that color....etc etc...
