Subject: Re: GISList: Network Analyst functions in ArcGIS
Date:  11/09/2001 12:05:54 PM
From:  Uffe Kousgaard

Hi

I suggest you take a look at RW Net from www.routeware.dk, which can be
accessed from ArcView 3.x as a DLL or from ArcView 8.x as a DLL/Active-X.
You will find appr. the same functionality as in Network Analyst, just
faster and more flexible. You may find the comparison scheme on the website
interesting.

Site licences are very attractively priced and both DLL and Active-X are
included in a license, so you have full freedom to choose whatever you want.

The big difference is the GUI: Network Analyst can be used with
point-and-click, while RW Net is purely a development tool, which (in most
situations) allows for royalty free distribution of applications. Sample
code is included.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Kind regards

Uffe Kousgaard
