Subject: Re: GISList: Map of Afghanistan
Date:  11/10/2001 02:48:53 PM
From:  arc view

...if you carefully think about it paul:
if you can pass value judgements (+ve = "map is good"), so can others (-ve =
"map is politically flawed").
i am sure this discussion would lead to better 'disclaimers and metadata
notes' for abdullah. and that would server the purpose of this email-forum
better than bending backwards to avoid 'necessary friction'.
best to all!

Subject: Re: GISList: Map of Afghanistan

This guy spends 3000 hours on a map and the first
thing anyone says is that he got something wrong!
Looks impressive for someone not trained in
cartography! I'd be interested in here how you
completed the map (software used) and what data
sources you found and considered to be reliable. Good
work!
Paul
