Subject: GISList: Want to rename Property Theme - Any suggestions??
Date:  11/15/2001 05:51:02 PM
From:  A'Hearn, William

First- My apolgies for cross-posting this.

When our data was converted over, the coverage (i.e layer or theme) =
which
shows lot-tract-row lines was named "OWNADM." A undescriptive name, =
that I
have to repeat and explain over and over to users. I'm in the process =
of
moving data over to a new server and thought this would be a good time =
to
rename that theme. The City is broken into 198 tiles. The combined
(mapjoined) version is named "GLENDALE", when it is dissolved by the =
County
Assessor's number the City-wide is named "PARCELS."

What do all you good GIS folks call your property themes??

Thanks,
