Subject: GISList: Quality model??

Hello listers,

I just saw a news release on a quality model released by Carnegie mellon
university recently from Pittsburgh, which they call is for IT enabled
services. The published documents in their website says that the model
applies to Engineering services including GIS. Does anyone know more about
it?

I would be interested to know whether any of us felt the need of a quality
model for GIS,AM,FM kind of work. We, in our company are thinking of some
processes in place. Have anyone implemented any system like ISO, etc.?
What is the feel of "quality" in GIS and model?
I am trying to talk to someone at the university too.

Thanks
Reynold Walker
