Help!!!
Due this Friday morning. Last minute student panic setting in.
We (it is a team project) have been struggling for several evenings
now on an aml assignment for school and have had no luck with two
features.
For ArcInfo 7.2, we needed to create a drop down menu to allow the
user to draw coverages (we allowed the user to pick the line and
shade colors), get stats, place a border & scale, allow the user to
enter a title, print. All that is done and working.
The 2 parts we are stuck on are:
1. we cannot figure out how to generate a legend and place it based
on the coverage and color choices that the user has made: and
2. we cannot get a toggle on/off menu to work for the coverages. We
first tried the one described in UNDERSTANDING GIS, The ARC/INFO
Method. Then we tried a form menu with check boxes but end up with
the error message "Cannot initialize alpha menu h:...." - we are
trying to call it from a menu choice on the pull down menu.)
If any AML experts out there would be so kind as to give us a leg up
on this, you would reduce the stress level in a couple of students by
an order of magnitude.
If it was our only assignment due we might be able to get to the end
on our own, but pure hard work has not been enough on this one.
