Subject: GISList: Solution for RINEX to SSF
Date:  12/07/2001 10:34:43 AM
From:  Lynn Ray

Though we eventually found a base station with SSF files last night, we
received this solution from Kevin Murphy. Thanks for all of your hard
work Kevin, we really appreciate it. We received several other
suggestions and thank you as well. Hope this solution helps some one
else.

I found the utility here
http://www.spg.com.br/ftp/gps_files/

Hope this helps

I am not sure who put it up on the web, though.

Lynn,

There is/was a utility made by Trimble to convert from Rinex to SSF. I
found this while searching the internet at the following url

http://mascot.gdbc.gov.bc.ca/bcacs/ht/gpsref/rnx-ssf.txt

"c) Convert all hourly RINEX files to Trimble .SSF files. This
is done utilizing Trimble's stand-alone utility RNXSSF. A
typical process is shown below (see the PFINDER manuals for
more details).
RNXSSF /oV1091522.05S /nV1091522.NAV /sV1091522.SSF <ENTER>"

I am not sure if the software you have has this utility but it is a
place to start looking...

Maybe even contact a local Trimble rep.

Let me know how you make out...
Hope this helps...

Lynn,
What software (and version ) are you using to post process the day ? I
may be able to offer some help.

We are currently undergoing some difficulties with the local base
station we usually use for our DGPS procedures. We need to convert
another base station's files from RINEX to SSF. The software has the
option for SSF to RINEX, but not the other way around. If anyone has
any suggestions, we would be happy to entertain them. Thanks, Lynn Ray
