Some list housekeeping
Occasionally, people have problems unsubscribing from the GISList
Keep a few things in mind please. The GISlist is essentially a "bot" and is
fully automated. The list management system can only do what you ask it to
do.
If you subscribed to the list from an email address joe@geocomm.com then in
order to be removed, a request must come from joe@geocomm.com
Sending a request to remove joe@geocomm.com from your free joe@yahoo.com
account will not work!
Quite often individuals and corparations set up or change email preferences
in a way that may not be totally obvious to you. Examples of this are email
aliasing etc...
- To unsubscribe, write to gislist-unsubscribe@geocomm.com
- If you have problems unsubscribing, simply send a request to
webmaster@geocomm.com asking to be removed from the GISList
- Try to avoid sending repeated remove instructions to the entire list
To filter list email set up a filter on Subject containing the term GISList
