Hello to all. Merry Christmas and so forth.
I use Manifold which allows me to take surfaces I've imported, copy and paste the surface as an image for all kinds of image manipulation and such.
I've been using MicroDEM to merge and then export the DEM's in my AOI as a DTED1 file. I'm still learning how to play with the "output lat/long interval" level and thought it might give me greater control to just merge the two using somewhat traditional Photoshop techniques, only I've run into a little problem.
Some DEM's seem to have a border or something around them and when I manually merge them I get a visible seam. Of course, MicroDEM merges them beautifully which leads me to believe there's some sort of overlapping data but I'm not sure.
Can anyone clear up this question for me? Also, if you have a technique you'd like to share I'd be more than happy to give it a try.
Thanks!
