Dear Davison,
Whilst I agree with seeing the back of MDD, it is also important that we
don't repeat the mistake of 1991 where we ran FROM without clearly assessing
where we were running TO. Like you I am unable to vote but trully hope that
Zambia has today chosen a future we can all be proud of.
But if I may add: the future of Zambia will be determined by what each one
of us wants it to be - and not the Government. We deserve what the MMD did
to us. We accepted it for ten years. Most us even shamelessly participated
in nurturing the cockroach culture they introduced in the country. Remember
that, for instance, each act of corruption, negligence, theft,
nonperformance at any level of our society creates rot forming fungus on
Zambia, and the country begins to rot.
I share your hopes and dreams but perhaps each and everone of us must now
act by demanding high integrity of ourselves first, and of everyone else,
and by upholding the law.
