Subject: RE: GISList: Equipment for data collection
Date:  01/10/2002 04:09:44 AM
From:  Michael Krome

Hello all,

Trimble also have a product out which uses the same principal, of time
stamped photos cross referenced to GPS data from Trimble GPS systems,
then can export to Shape, MIF, DXF, etc formats. I think the product is
called Media Mapper, and can be found at
http://www.trimble.com/mediamapper.html

Regards,

Michael Krome

Erika (et al)
recall, a while back I tested a GPS enables camera from Kodak... it was
very
slick and came with a nifty arcview extension enabling easy import of
the
resulting images and coordinate information into ArcView.

Unfortunately Kodak does not support this model any longer, however, we
have
the extension and can apparently share this with users if necessary
(countless attempts to get info from Kodak regarding this was very
frustrating) eventhough there was apparently a great deal of demand for
this
product.

See http://spatialnews.geocomm.com/newsletter/issue12/demofis265.html
for
more info

Regards
Glenn
