I'm sure someone out there has an answer to this
question.
I've downloaded a few USGS 1:24K quads from the USGS
and then compared those quads to quads available in
various software demo packages like Terrain Navigator
Pro, National Geographic's TOPO! and others.
Usually the quads represents the same information but
visually the quads in the software packages are more
appealing.
How come?
