Instead of converting the vector data to a raster image, has anyone
considered compressing the vector file such that all of the attribute
information is retained and the integrity of the data is not
compromised?
There is such a tool, called iMAP - that compresses/suppresses vector
data files by up to 75% - 90%. The tool has tremendous benefits that
include reduced transmission time, reduced rendering time and better
performance than current options. These benefits can tremendously
increase efficiency within a workforce management system/department.
