Subject: GISList: Subcontract Opportunity
Date:  02/13/2002 07:37:18 AM
From:  Steven DeRoy

Good afternoon all,

I want to apologize for this cross-posting. DrakeGIS & Mapping Ltd. is
looking to hire an individual on a contract basis to develop a custom
computer application to query and display Harvest Study data using ArcView.
The contractor will produce a custom application that would have 3 options
to start:

1-display geographic data on a 1:250,000 map
2-display reported harvest numbers and estimated harvest numbers
3-view or print PDF format of preliminary community reports

There are currently over 145,000 harvest records contained within an Access
database. The application will need to allow users to choose features from
the database by creating customized Dialog boxes with pull-down menus and to
map the GIS data that are defined by these queries. An option to verify and
modify problem records will need to be incorporated. As well, harvest
records will need to be generated into a report format.

Once the final verification and analysis of the data are complete the
application needs to be accessible from a website. Training will also need
to be administered to the client. The anticipated date of completion of the
application is Spring 2002. Previous experience with programming in ArcView
is mandatory. Preference will be given to those with experience working with
Northern management agencies.

Those interested in assisting DrakeGIS to complete this project should
immediately contact myself at the address below. The RFP due date is
February 18th, 2002.

Best regards,
Steven
