Thanks to everyone that responded to my post about my pesky ArcInfo problem with an IOPEN fatal error. I think I have solved my problem. My original post is below. Basically, to fix the problem, I re-organized my INFO files into a separate workspace than the coverage and all its files, and things seem to be working. Now to go between them and the coverage workspace I just change workspaces where I need to in my AMLs. It did not matter that everything was in the same workspace when I was only doing attribute changes (and using the coverage to select which records I would edit in the INFO files), but when I actually started editing the coverage itself, and then also editing the INFO files, that is where I ran into the problem. Seems to be the fix and I am pleased so far. Thanks again-

original post = I am working in workstation ArcInfo running a series of AMLs contained within Formedit menus. The menus seemed to be working fine up until a few days ago, when I started to get these type of FATAL ERROR messages (located below the post). I am the sole owner of the workspace (its on my PC), and I am editing only one coverage in this operation. The types of operations I am doing are simple- splitting arcs, adding arcs, and calculating attributes on these arcs. There are buttons for each type of editing operation I perform. I am also editing 2 INFO files as well, and they are edited after I add or split an arc (kind of like a change log of what is being done to the coverage). I do not see any blatant conflicts, I don't think virus scan is running all the time, and this error does not happen every time I try and save, only some of the time. Any ideas on why this is happening, how I can fix it/avoid? Thanks-
charlene
