Subject: GISList: SUM: ArcInfo Licecense in use
Date:  02/25/2002 12:37:08 PM
From:  Richard Leeson

I received several replies to this question. Most of the replies told me to
reboot the server. This is difficult for us because the license is on the
same server as what everyone uses to access network printers. Special
thanks to Bryan Keith who suggested the following which did the job.

Our license hangs every once in a while, usually when someone had to shut
down their system while the license was checked out.

To get the license back go to the machine which is the license manager.
Start License Manager Tools under ArcGIS License Manager. Choose
Configuration Using Services, then under the Stop/Start/Reread tab, click
stop server, then start server.

Original Question:
Hey list,
We have ArcInfo 8.1 and when we try to use it we are getting a "All arc
licenses in use" even though nobody has it checked out. Any one else ever
have this probelm, or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
