Subject: Re: GISList: Labeling in Arc8.1
Date:  03/17/2002 06:02:52 PM
From:  David.Irving .. santos.com

Valerie -

If you enquire on the related table, you get (potentially) several rows in
the result, as you have a one to many relation between parent and child.
It's difficult to see how you can use several rows to label a single
polygon (point, line segment, etc). You may be able to use the child table
if you refine your query further, so that it returns at most one row.
Someone else on the list may have some suggestions on this.

Regards,
David

Problem: I have a personal geodatabase with related table that has a one
to many relationship. I want to use attributes in the related table for
labeling. I can label from the primary geodatabase, but not the related
table. Can anyone tell me how to pull from the related table for labeling?
