I'm trying to locate the following people who were pioneers in the development of web-based mapping: Glen Newton (NAISmap), Sue Huse (GRASSlinks), Brandon Plewe and Chris Stuber (TIGER Map Service), and anyone else who had a *working* online map server prior to Aug 95. I wrote an article in GIS World that year in October documenting some of web mapping technology active then, but unfortunately I didn't put in any inception dates of any of these systems. And alas, the email contacts for all these people seem to have changed (gee, imagine that!)
To answer a patent claim developing in the UK, I'm looking for proof that web-mapping, involving the use of transmiting coordinates (not image maps), was already in existence before Aug 95. If anyone can help me find people working in this are that far back, I'd appreciate it. I know this technology was invented before Aug 95: I just need some proof that's still around to back up my hearsay.
