Still not working but got the files from japan.
US restrictions I believe.

Download is fgaster and cheaper. But you are right, CD version is useful
espacially for:

This is nevertheless 11 times the 1km resolution. This also means bigger
download, and more data to process. I'll will wait a bit.
Surely a 70GB terrain map is perhaps two much. Look at our site if you want
more info.

distribution and a real file format will be available someday.
