Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry. The consensus seems to be to load the carto.avp or hatch.avp color pallettes in the AV symbols folder or exporting/printing the layout as an *.eps file and then sending the *.eps file to the printer. I loaded the carto & hatch pallettes and that did the trick!

Hello ALL
When I use a certain pattern for polygons in ArcView that allows me to see another layer beneath it, the plotter (HP DesignJet 1055M) seems to make it a white fill that covers everything up. Do you know of a way for this to print out as it appears on my screen w/out the plotter assigning it this unwanted fill?
