Hi listers, I have few doubts about projections / datum. 1. What is the difference between projection and DATUM. I understand that projection(representation of spherical surface in 2 dim plane) is for horizontal reference and datum for vertical reference. But I came thru some papers where it is mentioned that horizontal reference as NAD83 datum and vertical reference as Mean sea level. Can you please explain me in detail. Any reference to internet sites which may explain more also be helpful.
2. What will be the difference in horizontal co-ordinates as the height changes.
Regards Jay
