Listers,
I'm trying to take a subset of an existing dataset and "cookie-cut" it out
to use that as an example, but all the pertinent attributes, .prj files,
etc. need to go along with it. In the old ArcView 3.x, it was quite easy
and quick to select the view extents with a rectangle and then "convert to
shapefile" either one at a time or in bulk. I'm at a loss to find that same
function in ArcGIS (ArcView 8.x). Can someone point me down the
yellow-brick road on this one.
