Dear listers, I had previously known that the difference between Geographic and Projected coordinate Systems in GIS software is relevant to the criteria of division, measurement, etc..(although not sharply descriped), but recently i recognized that a dataset belonging to a Projected coordinate Systems "UTM" apears in the same postion of that of a Geographic coordinate system. I need to know how the same dataset belonging to a certain type projection (UTM for example) can be displayed in 2 different locations because i've changed the grid size. Is there a known criteria for setting a grid size? What is the grid size relevant to? In manually projection definition, why do the software accept wrong parameters, How can I fit 2 datasets in the same coordinate system but was given different parameters without doing TRANSFORM. Thanks for your time & Best Regards, Marwa GIS SpecialistProject Manager GeoStrategies Egypt
