Subject: RE: GISList: Mineral Reserve Mapping

My approach would be to try the least expensive thing to see if it works
before spending zillions of dollars. Look at Manifold 3D View Studio (3DVS)
at

http://www.manifold.net/products/3dvs/3dvs_home.html

... it can show you the different strata as multiple 3D surfaces on just
about any semi-modern PC. For $75 it is difficult to beat. It's not a 3D
CAD program, but if it shows you your data the way you want it may be OK for
your needs.

Note: To launch 3D View Studio with multiple data surfaces, choose the XYZ
Data (multiple surfaces) option in the Launch using box. This will enable
specifying more than one field to use as a Z field. The same fields must be
used as X and Y for all surfaces, which should not be a problem when you are
getting Z data out of the same boreholes.

Cheers,

Dimitri
