Hi,
I develop enterprise solution software for the mining and exploration industry. The software uses spatial / geodata (points, polygons, tins, polylines etc.) that's managed in a JET / SQL db environment. Other developers / GUI experts have implemented several GUI / menu options that I'm concerned about. For example, when spatial data is required for manipulation / modification (moving points in 3D, expanding surface/solids, polygon layering etc.) the terms "open / close points", "open / close surface" etc.
With a GIS background, the terminology of "open/close" instead of "load/unload" doesn't seem correct. I have other GUI issues that I will not address here.
Does any one have access / reference to GUI standards that use spatial/geodata information?
Thanks, Josie
