Subject: Re: GISList: coverting from MapInfo to Arcview formats
Date:  07/31/2002 03:19:22 PM
From:  Tadi Seetharamayya

Hi Ahmed,

once your road map is ready and saved.
Goto:
Tools --> Tool Manager (if your Universal Translator)
is not activated
Then go to tools --> Universal Translator
Choose the your source Format - "Mapinfo"
You do not need to give the projection details as it
takes it from the Tab file.

Then choose your Destination Format "ESRI shape"
Give the path where this shd be saved after converting
and say OK.

And check the destination directory path and you will
find your layer with the type of feature (like
xyz_line.shp/dbf/shx) xyz_region etc..)

regards
Seetharamayya. Tadi.
