You may wish to try another data (gridded DEMs and radar images)
of Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) at resolution 1 arc
second (about 30 meters) that are available free of charge from this
USGS anonimous FTP link:
ftp://edcsgs9.cr.usgs.gov/pub/data/srtm/
