Some interesting news from monster.com addressing their new career posting options... basically what this means is revenues are down and they need cash!
Also, what this indicates is that for years now, HR managers have been blowing thousands of $$ placing ads in a national database which they (monster) admits received little attention. Maybe some day these HR recruiters will wisen up and get more bang for their buck and better candidates by posting career opps. on focused boards like those at geosearch, the gjc, and of course the geocommunity career center!
"For years, Monster has sold all comers, large and small, an annual license to its national recruiting database for $8,500. But "there's only a small fraction of our customers who needed national database access," says Brent Pearson, Monster's senior VP of strategy."
