Subject: RE: GISList: Access with GIS ?
Date:  08/12/2002 08:40:30 PM
From:  Simmonds, Ashley (PTB)

this may be a little simplistic for your needs, but if you're entering data
on an Access form, it's easy.

if you have a field in your table called TimeStamp or such, set a text box's
control data to that field. then in the BeforeUpdate event all you need do
is tell Access to update that field to Now().

Private Sub Form_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer)
Me.TimeStamp = Now()
End Sub

hope that helps.

Subject: GISList: Access with GIS ?

I've looked at the help files and experimented with all options I can
think of, but I have a MS Access database with a few tables linked to
GIS data. I want to create a field that will capture the current
date/time stamp and populate (and/or overwrite the existing data) so
that I can know when the last time a particular record in that
table/database was updated. This would be done primarily through an
Access form used for data entry and maintenance and ideally would be
automatic? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Anthony
