Anyone out there have experience with Manifold?
I'm going to re-project VMAP0 and 30" DEM data for large patches of the world, and I'm wondering how much memory (RAM) I need.
The manifold web site says "up to 4 times the data size" for some operations. What is first-hand experience?
I'm concerned that manifold tries to load large raster sets "entire", rather than loading sub-tiles as PaintShop Pro does for big images. In PaintShop Pro, loaded raster data is worked on a section at a time, I think, not all at once.
thanks for any comments,
regards, Nigel.
