Hi Santosh
Line of sight analysis.
From the point where i am standing, Can I see a point
in some other locations??. This query is the line of
sight. In case if there are any obstructions between
the source and target locations (if any tall object /
terrain obstructs between the two points), the
visibility is obstructed. If you have the DEM of the
terrain u can do that in the system itself. There are
softwares available for this. In case, u have the
stereo aerial photograhs, this can be checked with the
help of a mirror / pocket stereoscope by physically
drawing line joining the conjucate points and looking
in stereo.
It is mostly used in Telecom, military missile
guidance and few other applications
